Let's face it, the joys of Christmas - lovely big roast, little pressies, Bake Off special on the TV - can sometimes be outweighed by the tiresome task of (dare we say it) spending time with family...
Eschewing the "isn't it lovely to all be together" messaging of most festive spots and instead throwing a comedic light on the more annoying elements, Snap London's hilariously relatable Speechless for shopping centre and retail outlet chain Landsec is a chucklesome breath of fresh air.
Written by creative director Liam Wilson, and directed by Outsider’s Chris Balmond, the ad sees a hapless lady subject to a series of idiotic observations, until her well-chosen gifts finally give her peace. Smart, snappy and with 'present-opening' shots that shine, this low-key effort is one of the season's finest.
