With direction from Eoin Glaister through Stink, this hilariously endearing music video for alternative-indie band LA Priest’s track, It’s You, sees a beautiful relationship blossom between the most unsuspecting of sweethearts.
Shot in London on 16mm film, the promo stars actress Juliet Cowan as a cleaner, who falls head-over-heels in love with an amorphous accumulation of fat and non-degradable deposits, also known as a fatberg.
The film sees the sewer-dwelling anthropomorphic glob successfully woo Cowan by regurgitating golden gifts up through the pipes while she cleans, sparking the initial attraction.
Through tongue-in-cheek storytelling and a nod at the The Mighty Boosh, Glaister follows all of the sweet and occasionally unsavoury milestones of their relationship, from their first fight to physical intimacy.
