ŠKODA’s latest creative continues the story of its Driven by Something Different attitude, which champions individuality and self-confidence; attributes shared by its customers.

ŠKODA partner Paloma Faith has joined forces with British artists from different musical genres including classical, pop-rock and grime, to reprise Sammy Davis Jnr’s 1968 track I’ve Gotta Be Me —with each artist releasing their own version.

The advert explores five unique scenes featuring different ŠKODA models including the Fabia, Karoq, Kodiaq vRS and the new Scala, which launches in the UK this summer.

Created by Fallon London, the advert was directed by acclaimed music video director, Henry Scholfield, who has recently worked with Dua Lipa, Wiley, Sean Paul and Idris Elba. The advert will run as part of an integrated digital, media, PR and social campaign, and aired on TV from Saturday 20th April during the new series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Speaking about the new advert, Paloma Faith said: “It’s been empowering to join forces with incredible artists who are all forging their own paths within the industry. To capture the essence of what makes each of us who we are today in one video is no mean feat, but I think ŠKODA has done a fantastic job. The lyrics of the song are all about embracing your own personality and that’s what resonated with me.”

Kirsten Stagg, Head of Marketing, ŠKODA UK, commented, “We specifically chose these artists for this latest campaign; they are all inspirational people from across the UK who champion confidence and individuality, and embody our Driven by Something Different spirit. The ad is purposely different from the category norm, and delivers a truly unique approach for ŠKODA.”
