Amalgamating the players, fans and city itself in a scrapbook mash-up of past and present, Built by New York for the New York Knicks is a true celebration of legacy and devotion.
From a concept by Translation, production/post-production house Farm League and mixed media specialist Miko Lim use archival footage and freshly shot moments to express the bond between team and location, flitting between titans of the court and chess matches, skaters and hoopers.
Utilising a technique coined internally as ‘flash treatment’, the post-house brought in visual artist Federico Forlani to craft the style over the course of three weeks; diving deep into old footage, and targeting moments that visually aligned with the newly captured footage and recent game highlights.
