SMUGGLER director Phillip Youmans creates a fun and high energy video, shot on 16mm film, for Jon Batiste featuring Lil Wayne’s track Uneasy

Jon Batiste is cinematically captured on a battery hunt, disguised as a janitor in a corporate space. The video then transitions to Wayne’s world, an indoor skatepark, where he performs with Lil Wayne. Youmans delivers a video that is not only entertaining but also visually captivating.

Director Phillip Youmans said: “I wanted Uneasy to live within the world of Jon’s album: World Music Radio. Along with the music, they sent me the trailer that they released for the record. And from that, I wanted to create an actual radio station and build out the story of Jon’s character B4. In the video, B4 and one of his undercover workers perform a heist to acquire a magical battery for his receiver. When it’s time for Lil Wayne’s feature, they tune into his frequency, and B4 is transported to “Wayne’s World”.

I’m very proud of the piece. We had a really great team, and I had a lot of fun making it. And as a boy from New Orleans, working with Jon and Wayne was a dream. This one’s for the city.”
