Animation school Supinfocom Rubika is well-versed in producing exceptional work through their talented students.
Their latest film to turn heads at festivals, The Stained Club, is no exception and now, with the film finally making its online debut, we all get to be part of the gang.
Telling the story of a young lad whose particular 'stain' draws him to friends who are likewise marked, the film's subtle imagery and heartbreaking narration make for a tale that hits hard.
However, it is in the realisation of the narrative that the short truly shows the skills of directors Melanie Lopez, Simon Boucly, Marie Ciesielski, Alice Jaunet, Chan-Stéphie Peang and Beatrice Viguier - with tactile textures, endearing character design and the gleaming luminance of the blemishes making for a world you feel you could touch.
