When Brad Pitt tearily shouted "what's in the box?" to a befuddled Morgan Freeman at the climax of Se7en, it's safe to say that he wasn't expecting a pint-sized pistol-wielder to pop out of it.
The same, however, cannot be said of the goons in this hugely entertaining and fantastically polished short, The Box Assassin, from animator Jeremy Schaefer.
A recent graduate from Ringling College of Art & Design and an intern at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Schaefer shows that he has serious storytelling chops in this fast and funny film following pizza delivery boy's unexpected encounter with a mini-murderer.
Filled with character moments, set-pieces and a sharp wit, this attention-grabbing short shows a talent to watch.
