​Jawny’s therapeutic thrill ride

Directed by Spencer Ford through SCREENS, the Interscope Records artist has released an ambitious and fast-paced video to accompany his new track, Adios. 

The video juxtaposes bright, fun visuals and reckless behaviour with hard-hitting lyrics in which Jawny reflects on the deterioration of his relationship. 

Composed entirely of nauseatingly fast drone footage, the story follows the artist as he leans out of the passenger seat window of a flame-emblazoned car, whilst the driver performs breakneck stunts through the backstreets of LA. Jawny's daredevil drive comes to an abrupt end as they crash into a fire hydrant, the drone also falling to the ground.

The film was created with only two shots, the first ending as the camera pans up towards a blue sky and animated balloons float across the scene. The balloons were the only VFX used in the whole video - everything else being perfectly performed by the stunt driver, Samy Maloof. 

Nine blocks were closed in downtown Los Angeles for the shoot, which required meticulous planning, with people positioned on every corner to ensure the safety of the public and crew.
