It's Mission: Possible for Rick Astley's promo

Star of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Spaced and Shaun on the Dead, Simon Pegg, has stepped behind the camera to direct the new promo for Rick Astley's latest track.

The video sees Astley as a roving superhero whose powers might not include flight or super-strength, but who is able to calm difficult scenarios with the power of his music. 

Astley sent the track to Pegg after learning he was a fan, with the Hollywood actor then taking on both writing and directing duties. The promo for Forever And More was produced with Ridley Scott Associates production company, Black Dog Films, also saw Pegg enlist the help of some of the crew from Mission: Impossible.

“I had a blast shooting the video for Forever and More for Rick Astley," said Pegg. "It was my first time directing on this scale and it was made all more enjoyable by Rick and the band, who were so much fun, and by my amazing crew, which was comprised largely of my Mission: Impossible family, along with a wonderful group of can-do professionals all working at the top of their game.”.

"It is truly thanks to Simon Pegg, who brought all the positive vibes, with great storytelling, and who as a director made me feel so comfortable on the shoot. I can't thank him enough for agreeing to take on this adventure with me and the band.”
