Imposter signs director Luke Jaden
The Detroit-based director joins the roster with a body of work defined by emotional storytelling, poetic imagery, and deeply human narratives
Production company Imposter has signed filmmaker Luke Jaden for US representation.
This recent unveiling marks the joining of a director whose distinctive approach to storytelling has earned recognition across the commercial and film worlds.
Based in Detroit, Jaden has built a reputation for creating emotionally resonant work that blends cinematic visuals with intimate human stories. His projects have garnered accolades including FilmSupply's Best New Filmmaker award, a place in the Cannes Young Director Award selection, and a spot in SHOOT's New Directors Showcase.
Alongside his narrative and documentary work, he has directed campaigns for brands including Honda, Ford, Bose, Zara, and Carhartt.
For Jaden, the decision to join the production company came down to finding a team that shared his creative ambitions and values. "I was immediately drawn to Imposter because of the people behind it, especially the EPs and reps," he said. "From my very first conversations with Avtar, there was an immediate sense of trust, chemistry, and alignment that's impossible to manufacture. It honestly felt like we'd already worked together before.”
"As a filmmaker, those relationships mean everything, and once I felt that connection, I knew this was the right place for me." Jaden described Imposter as a "creative home" where he can continue evolving as a filmmaker while taking on new creative challenges.
"What excites me most is being surrounded by a team that not only believes in my voice as an artist, but also wants to help shape, guide, and elevate the next chapter of my career," he added. "Imposter feels like a creative home, a place where I can continue evolving, taking risks, levelling up, and growing alongside people I genuinely trust and admire."
For Imposter, Jaden's ability to find humanity in his subjects made him a natural fit for the roster.
"We receive an endless amount of directors' work in our inboxes, and Luke's work immediately stood out," said Avtar Kay, managing director and EP. "We were struck by his ability to capture humanity in its most vulnerable forms, crafting raw, intimate moments that feel alive.”
"Grounded in personal experience, his work leaves audiences with a lasting emotional imprint. It's poetic, visceral, and rich with atmospheric imagery, always exploring the core of what makes us human."
She added that Jaden's directorial voice reflects the type of filmmaking Imposter is increasingly looking to champion.
"His voice reflects the kind of storytelling we believe is increasingly important today, work that feels deeply personal, emotionally truthful, and unmistakably authored. As Imposter continues to champion filmmakers with singular perspectives and a strong sense of craft, Luke felt like a natural addition to our roster."
The signing comes as Jaden prepares for a busy period of releases across both commercial and personal work. Recent projects include music videos for Indigo Sparke, ZHU, and Oskar Med K, while his feature film Animals Of The Land is scheduled for release in 2026.
"There's a lot in motion right now," Jaden admits. "I've been focused on developing new work while also wrapping a run of projects that are starting to roll out. This year feels like a real turning point creatively, and I'm excited for people to start seeing what's coming next."
