Imogen Harrison joins Sticker Studios
Sticker Studios' latest filmmaker loves capturing the little intricacies of everyday life.
Sticker Studios have expanded their talent roster with the addition of Imogen Harrison, a filmmaker who captures the nuances of everyday life through a cinematic lens.
She is passionate about telling humble, delicate and inherently normal stories whilst finding the relatable, magical moments within the reality of the human experience.
Harrison’s love of storytelling and escapism started at a young age; her Friday visits to Blockbusters with her parents introduced her to the world of cinema. The Goonies was the first film she remembers getting lost in and it made her want to live in that world with all of its zany characters. However at this point still, Imogen was too young to realise that she could create worlds as a director.
Once Harrison discovered being a director was a real job and having no idea how to get there, she decided to forego university and (having no idea what film school was) got a job as a runner. She relentlessly worked her way through many productions, eventually becoming a director and the rest (as they say) is history. She has brought her vision to a variety of clients and brands such as Amazon and St Mungos, and her TVC for NHS saw her receive a nomination for Best Director at the Young Arrows 2022, whilst also winning best Edit & best Original Composition. The same NHS spot also won her a shiny award for Best Director.
Harrison now brings her unique storytelling to Sticker Studios, with their first of many collaborations being the poetic and grounded Teenage Love Forever; an honest depiction of the complexities of young love. Imogen described the project as a “cosmic experience, where all the moving parts of filmmaking came together. The result is an affecting cinematic experience with an intimate and relatable story at the centre of it all.”
Harrison had this to say about joining Sticker Studios - “I have long admired the creative focused approach to filmmaking of Sticker Studios, it’s inspiring to see a production company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the visual expectation of commercials. It is really rewarding to be working with producers who not only want to develop my ideas but also want to grow them beyond what would be ordinarily expected.
