Shot with a cool western look, albeit with handheld flair, Mercedes-Benz’ latest global brand takes us on a trip to the past, in which we see Bertha Benz take part in the world’s first long distance drive in a car.
Dramatising a hairy moment in the trip from Mannheim to Pforzheim, Germany, The Journey That Changed Everything sees Benz's determination in getting her vehicle back on the road, including going to a pharmacy to find fuel, using her hat pin to clear fuel lines and repurposing her garter for insulation.
Directed by Anorak Film's Sebastian Strasser for agency antoni, the dramatic retelling goes to show the impact one woman's journey had on the history of motor cars.
