With her high standards, secret recipes and traditional techniques, the Italian grandma is the essential ingredient in any predictable pasta sauce spot.
This fun campaign, created by Wunderman Thompson and directed by Santiago Ruffa, sees tomato-based product brand Heinz subvert said cliché with its non-traditional Nonna, who lives in an English apartment and plays Mortal Kombat.
Despite her apparent differences, we see that she maintains her Italian standards as she barks cooking instructions at her grandson. She therefore also only cooks with the finest Heinz pasta sauces.
Starring Paola Sebastiani as the lead actress - who, among other roles, has appeared in L'amico di famiglia by Paolo Sorrentino - Not Another Pasta Sauce pays homage to Heinz' Italian heritage with it's trademark sense of humour.
