As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a sandwich maker...
OK, Scorsese's mob-classic Goodfellas might not have been as impactful if it were about a duelling band of bakers, but, as this sly and smartly-written Big Game spot for Jimmy John's goes to show, it might have been much funnier.
Featuring gravel-voiced deadpan merchant Brad Garrett as Tony Bolognavich, Meet The King sees our protagonist face-off against a rival lunch crew, showing an enforcement technique that's all killer, no (sandwich) filler.
With a great script and tone from Anomaly and wonderfully referential directing by MJZ's Craig Gillespie, this well-constructed and enjoyably silly spot is an ad-break crowd-pleaser.
