Great Guns
has recently signed LA based commercial director and cinematographer Todd Kellstein for global representation.

Todd’s progressive documentary style aesthetic drew international acclaim for his feature debut ‘Buffalo Girls’ (Slamdance 2012) and  his foray into the realm of socially-conscious storytelling. The film received rave reviews from publications including, Hollywood Reporter, The Wall Street Journal, Variety and The Los Angeles Times.

Kellstein has directed various other commercials for brands including Volkswagen, The Clinton Global Initiative and Commonwealth Care.

Todd’s music video career includes work for artists Bon Jovi, JC Chasez, Sum 41 and Samantha Mumba (nominated for Billboard Video of the Year), as well as Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Britney Spears and Usher as second unit director and director of photography.

Todd’s latest film is for Quaker and asks the question “Who Would You Put First?” to a selection of regular American mothers.  He was the first and immediate directing choice for the agency Energy BBDO Chicago - Todd recently impressed the creatives with an earlier project with the agency.

Most answer their children, husbands etc. After the question ‘What if you put You first?’ is asked some truly moving and genuine responses are shown by the mothers with some really tender moments.

“The most exciting moment for me on this shoot was when we realized that one of the mothers we were interviewing was one of TWO mothers in a combined family!  Nobody knew she was going take our question about mothers and apply it to her, as she puts it, ’wife, partner, whatever.’  I quickly saw that alongside the great message we were already putting out into the world, we had stumbled onto a lovely opportunity to help give voice, in some small way, to the families that come together from same sex marriages. They’re here and they're here to stay!”  comments Todd on filming Quaker.

“Todd is a fearless filmmaker.  Each spot he directs evokes such emotion and it's because his subjects trust him. His film and compositions are beautiful, and he finds those wonderful little moments and details that make his stories incredibly intimate." Jonathon Ker, CEO & Partner Great Guns USA.

Todd Kellstein is represented globally by Great Guns.
