Grayscale Investments, under the creative direction of Bunker’s Brennan Stasiewicz and their media agency, Vested, debuted its latest work in what has been a consistently disruptive voice in the financial advertising space.

Grayscale’s products make digital currency accessible to investors and this campaign aims to elevate awareness of Grayscale’s brand and unique approach with a commercial that pulls the viewer through the rapidly evolving history of currency.

Following the airing of the new spot, Grayscale raised more than $217 million in a single week into their family of digital currency investment products, the asset manager’s largest fundraising week to date.

Bringing Grayscale’s goal to life was no easy feat during unique times. Working together closely, the team was able to continue to build this breakthrough brand campaign by navigating the complexities of the work-from-home environment amidst COVID-19. What might have started as a robust live action plan, quickly pivoted to a dynamic editorial solution.

The visuals consist of curated archival footage sourced and edited by Stasiewicz and are paired with the iconic punk rock anthem Blitzkrieg Bop, by The Ramones, one of the most legendary pieces of American music. While cryptocurrency is becoming increasingly mainstream, the idea of digital currencies like Bitcoin as a counterculture movement made the punk anthem a perfect fit.

Bunker then created the modern end card animations with the creative intention of pushing the boundaries of conventional financial visuals.
Prior to this latest brand campaign, Staseiwicz helped creatively develop and direct Grayscale’s notable Drop Gold and Nice Rock campaigns.
