People say there’s nothing more beautiful than falling in love,” says the child narrator of this poetic and intimate film.
“I want someone someday to share this miracle with me.” And that pretty much sums up the content of Africa, directed by Jai Moseley through Gatehouse Commercials.
There are no clever tricks or dazzling effects, just the child’s lilting voice and a series of heartwarming images encapsulating the everyday power of love and the beauty in the commonplace.
Moseley says, “You have to be open-hearted and listen to your intuition as a filmmaker. If you do this, and create from a pure place, it always works out. You find inspiration in that chance half a second you looked out the window and just happened to see the light gracing a passerby’s face at the perfect moment.
"I really hope this comes across in what we made.”
