Glenn Conte joins Chimney NY as head of editorial
Glenn brings years of experience collaborating with top agencies like McGarry Bowen, Saatchi & Saatchi, Havas, McCann and networks including Nickelodeon, AMC, and SundanceTV
Full-service content company, Chimney, kicks off 2019 with the addition of Editor Glenn Conte. The move follows the launch of a 6,500 sq. ft full-service, state-of-the-art facility last year in New York. Chimney offers full-service production and post-production (editorial, CG, VFX, colour grading, animation, motion graphics, and finishing/delivery), for commercials, branded content, and feature films.
Glenn brings a wealth of experience in the editorial division, with his broad expertise making him particularly well-placed to meet the constantly evolving demands of the industry today. Prior to joining Chimney, Glenn spent nine-years at editorial and finishing boutique, Northern Lights, and prior to that, post-production company, Red Car.
Amongst the high-profile campaigns and creative content in his portfolio, Glenn’s work has garnered awards from Cannes Lions, AICP, AICE, Promax BDA Gold and the Emmys. Glenn’s breadth of work includes longer form narrative content, having edited three seasons of the critically acclaimed web series Cop Show with Colin Quinn.
As well as being an accomplished commercial editor, Glenn’s diverse background has seen him edit across a wide range of different platforms and media, including broadcast promos, longform content and most recently, diving into the podcast space. In conjunction with SundanceTV and Amanda Knox, he co-produced and edited season 2 of the true crime podcast series, The Truth About True Crime with Amanda Knox, which is set to launch February 27th 2019 on SundanceTV.
Producing and editing a podcast series is an extension of my existing storytelling skills.
Commenting on the move, Glenn says: “Everywhere I look, companies are diversifying and transitioning to a multipurpose approach to stay ahead of the game. Traditional advertising is increasingly trying to create content that connects with viewers in a more emotive and meaningful way. As well as the opportunity to connect with a broader client base, Chimney’s forward-thinking attitude really appealed to me. As a global company with a vast network of 50+ directors worldwide, Chimney is invested in different streams of content creation and is serious about adapting to the future. Adding my expertise is part of the bigger picture of what Chimney wants to achieve and I’m looking forward to helping the company grow.”
