GHD gets rid of the boring blows

The Sticker Studios filmmaker teamed up once again with GHD to make a very important public announcement to stop boring blows in an hilarious and witty commercial.

Boring Blows brilliantly captures the cheesy 1980s infomercials that dominated the airwaves. The film also showcases some very gloriously luscious hair, with women taking back their control with voluminous blows.

Harleymoon Kemp captures the comedic tone perfectly while still making a stylish and cool looking commercial with wonderful performances including from a dog rocking luscious hair and great production design which all helps craft the story and adds to the whimsical nature of the piece.

Here’s what Kemp had to say about the project: “When GHD asked if I could help them build a film from the title ‘No Boring Blows’ my face lit up like a school kid when the bell rings. I just loved the idea of turning the ‘Say No to Drugs’ campaign into a modern advert.

My background is in fashion photography so lighting beautiful models is always a treat but injecting levels of comedy into it was so enjoyable. I also ended up writing the backing track music for it, to make sure we hit those 80s tones!”
