As the United States hits back-to-school season, FOX News celebrates the return of College Football to the stadiums with this vibrant and action-packed 3D-animated spot, directed by Yeti Pictures through Not to Scale.
Made directly with the in-house creative team at FOX Sports, film blends retro Americana aesthetics like wooden billboards, tactile animatronic displays and saturated colours with unexpected original contraptions, including a stadium constructed from coolers and the Big Noon pundits as mechanical bobbleheads.
The wooden textures were hand-drawn by the Yeti team, who paid great attention to the movement of each element, from inflatable tube men to the slow-motion splintering of a goalpost, to give the piece a satisfying fidelity.
Tony Zagoraios, Creative Director, Yeti, said: "To give the piece a charming, vintage aesthetic, we decided to blend modern motion design with the tactile feel of classic wooden cut-out toys. We loved the creative challenge of making this hybrid style work - hand-drawing every single texture and building fun little mechanisms so the players and announcers moved just like real wooden figures."
