There are few things in the world that aren't improved by an appearance by British actor Bill Nighy, and the latest music video for Florence + The Machine is no exception.
Filmed in Ukraine in 2021 with Ukrainian filmmakers and artists and featuring Ukrainian folk art by Katerina Konovalova and designed with production designer Volodymyr Radlinskiy, Free is a joyously offbeat film that sees Nighy take on the personification of frontwoman Florence Welch's anxiety, shadowing and antagonizing her throughout the video.
With cracking choreography from Ryan Heffington, Anonymous Content director Autumn de Wilde [collaborating for a fourth time with the band] helms a pacey and entertaining caper that is enhanced by the pair's endearing performances.
