FKJ releases Soulmates promo
FKJ explores solitude and connection for new release Soulmates, directed by Balan Evans at Untold Studios.
French multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer FKJ (French Kiwi Juice) has released the official promo for his latest single Soulmates, the first glimpse into his forthcoming album Tyber, created in collaboration with Untold Studios.
Directed by Balan Evans and developed alongside Creative Director Phil Lee, the film translates the song's themes of solitude, self-reflection and human connection into a richly atmospheric visual world. Blending tactile filmmaking, analogue textures and subtle visual effects, the piece reflects the same sense of fluidity and introspection that has defined FKJ's music throughout his career.
Soulmates arrives as the first chapter of Tyber, FKJ's forthcoming third studio album, a project written across London, Los Angeles, Paris, Brazil and Mexico. The record marks a new creative era for the artist, exploring themes of transformation, balance and personal growth through his signature fusion of jazz, soul, funk, electronic music and experimental composition.
Rather than approaching the film as a traditional performance piece, Evans and the Untold team sought to create something that felt emotionally instinctive and visually meditative, allowing the imagery to move with the rhythm and emotional shifts of the track.

Creative Director Lee said: "FKJ's music has always felt incredibly visual. There's a warmth, intimacy and sense of movement within the compositions that naturally lends itself to storytelling. Our ambition was to create something that felt emotionally led rather than overly literal, giving audiences space to experience the feeling of the track rather than simply illustrating it."
At the centre of the project was a desire to reflect the duality explored throughout the song: the balance between enjoying solitude while remaining deeply connected to the people who matter most. Through carefully composed imagery, analogue-inspired textures and understated visual interventions, the film mirrors the reflective quality that sits at the heart of FKJ's songwriting.
The collaboration continues Untold Studios' growing body of work across music, where the studio works closely with artists to develop visual identities that extend beyond traditional music video conventions. Recent projects have included work with artists including Yungblud, Dermot Kennedy, Louis Tomlinson and Lewis Capaldi, alongside a broad portfolio spanning live performance, documentaries, visualisers and artist-led campaigns.
Evans said: "What drew me to the project was how personal the song feels. There's something beautifully understated about it. The challenge was creating visuals that could sit alongside that honesty without overwhelming it. We wanted every frame to feel intentional while still retaining a sense of spontaneity and openness."
