Collaborating with agency BMB, London production company Archer's Mark have produced this thoughtful quartet of short films, titled Grimsby United, set in the northern English town once famous for its fishing industry.

The films follow four Grimsby folk – from Darren, one of the town’s last remaining fishermen looking to export his seafood internationally, to Chelsey, a part-time café worker who wants to transition into a fulfilling career as a caregiver – as they manage to turn their careers around thanks to connections made online.

Darren, the first in the series, was directed by Amy Becker-Burnett and opens with the eponymous fisherman recalling how Grimsby once had one of the world’s largest fleets but now struggles to maintain its fishing industry. It's a touching portrait of his small family business and reveals how he adapts to survive and manages to find new markets for his catches in China.
