Finger Industries launches Folio
Finger Industries launches new creative talent program Folio.
Animation studio, Finger Industries launches a new programme that strives to open the door to the advertising industry for groups that are currently underrepresented in the creative department.
Folio invites anyone who has the passion to step into the creative industry to register their interest, where they will have the opportunity to lead the creation of a 2021 digital campaign for a UK charity and use the piece for their portfolio.
Participants will work with a panel of Creative Directors, to ensure anyone with talent and strong creative ideas has the best chance to propel their career, regardless of education or experience.
The aim is to provide an entryway for anyone who is underrepresented in the ad industry.
Following mentorship and guidance via a series of webinars, including sessions such as ‘an introduction to the client’, and ‘how to write a Creative brief for a production studio’, campaign proposals will then be judged by the panel.
Global Sales and Marketing Manager at Finger Industries, Carrie O’Lone says of the initiative: “This is the groundwork for something that we are all excited and incredibly proud to launch. The aim is to provide an entryway for anyone who is underrepresented in the ad industry.
Folio is all about levelling the playing field, with the hopes to enable a whole range of talented people to build experience and contacts, with support from a bunch of kickass mentors.
We wanted to provide something tangible and allow participants to walk away with some understanding of how the industry works, whilst also giving the winning participant something physical to include in their portfolio.”
The awarded finalist will work with Finger Industries to deliver the 2021 digital campaign, which will be produced for a UK based Charity client. All mentors will be giving their time on a voluntary basis and Finger Industries will be delivering the animation work pro bono.
Shortlisted participants will also have the opportunity to attend online interviews with the panel, and will benefit from exposure through social media profiling, Q&As and Press Releases.
The chosen charity partner and CD panellists will be announced via press release soon.
