Production company MindsEye is incredibly excited to welcome comedy writer/director Dugan O’Neal for UK representation.
Dugan is a unique comedic voice whose work spans commercials, music videos and even crosses into the world of cult comedy programmer, Adult Swim.
Born in California to a rock’n’roll photographer father and contemporary dancer mother, his grandfather was also the famed cartoonist, Frank O’Neal. Growing up in such a creative household gave him the confidence to get stuck into drawing, photography and directing from a very young age. Apparently these films were said to be “genius” by his parents.
Dugan got his start directing music videos for TV on the Radio, Ducksauce, HAIM, The Temper Trap, RY-X, Matt and Kim, Chromeo, The Acid among many others and he has since helmed campaigns for the likes of Trojan, Belvedere, Bravo, Phillips, Jack Links, McDonalds, KFC and Enterprise. His reel is infused with his signature humour and bold, cinematic style.
MindsEye founder, Hughie Phillips comments, “This is a match made in comedy heaven. We have very similar goals and ambitions and I can’t wait to start working together with Dugan.”

Outside of advertising, Dugan is a writer on the Adult Swim show Dream Corp LLC executive produced by John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant whilst he also sits on the Board of Directors for the non-profit group OMG Cameras Everywhere, started by a group of music video directors focused on teaching children the language of film, and how to make
