As a brand Dove has always believed that beauty is not defined by shape, size or colour, but by feeling the best version of yourself.
This latest film from them reminds us that there is no greater expression of beauty than the qualities of compassion and courage, and it does so by paying tribute to the frontline healthcare workers around the world who are fighting Covid-19. Those healthcare professionals have captured the hearts and affections of billions in recent weeks and the film, from Ogilvy’s teams in London and Toronto, which was turned around in a matter of days, celebrates and highlights their heroic work.
The nurses and doctors being featured in the campaign are, literally, real-life superheroes. It really was the most humbling film to work on.
"Like many, I've spent the last few weeks in awe of the frontline medical workers across the world fighting to save our lives during this pandemic," said Daniel Fisher, Global ECD for Unilever and Special Projects for Ogilvy, "so it makes me proud when the companies and brands I work with support these amazing human beings. The nurses and doctors being featured in the campaign are, literally, real-life superheroes. It really was the most humbling film to work on."
To collect the images, the agency approached real doctors and nurses they found on sites such as Instagram and asked for permission to use their photos.
