"The Song is focusing on self-awareness and emotional authenticity. With the music video I wanted to show no matter the age nor the situation you are in, anxiety and panic attacks can arise in everyone“, Marko Roth said.
To bring a distinctive visual aspect to the project, a special infrared camera was employed to highlight the physical manifestations of panic attacks. This technique, capturing changes in body temperature, adds a layer of realism that enhances the viewer's understanding of the emotional and physiological toll panic attacks can take.
Behind the lens, the Director of Photography, Moritz Dehler, skillfully captured the raw emotions and nuances of each scene. The meticulous editing, a crucial aspect of the video's impact, was handled by Simon Reindl, a talent from Simon & Paul’s own ranks, as well as Nik Kohler.
The group furthermore added: "With Back and the music video, we want to invite our listeners to get real with their feelings and struggles. We want them to embrace the imperfection and the beautiful chaos of life that makes us human. If you struggle with anxiety or panic attacks, the start is to talk about them. It's nothing to be ashamed of!“
