Object & Animal welcomes Matt Lambert
Berlin-based director Matt Lambert signs to Object & Animal for representation.
Production company Object & Animal has signed Matt Lambert to its roster for worldwide representation, excluding France and Germany.
Lambert is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, creative director and curator whose "provocative, intimate, and poetic work has achieved cult status, resonating deeply within both commercial and independent spheres", says the company.
Lambert moves between global campaigns and independent projects which he has incubated in Berlin for over a decade. His commercial collaborations span brands including Calvin Klein, Diesel, Gucci, Adidas, Nike, Johnnie Walker, Sephora, Skyn, Grindr and Rick Owens.
Always maintaining a strong connection to the queer underground, Lambert has collaborated with an array of artists including Mykki Blanco, Peaches, Christeene, Hercules & Love Affair and Bronski Beat. In 2020, he founded VITIUM to develop and produce transgressive, queer print, film, and live performance projects.
Currently, Lambert is developing his debut fiction feature, following themes explored in his recent co-directed Netflix docudrama Eldorado , which unearths Berlin’s erased LGBTQ+ history from 1926-1932. Additionally, he is working on his sixth photobook and creating his next stage production at Berlin’s renowned Volksbühne Theater, where he runs the ongoing series SISSY SMUT .
“Matt’s ability to craft striking, intimate and culturally resonant narratives makes him an incredible addition to the O&A family,” said Morgan Clement, EP at O&A. “His work not only challenges conventions but also celebrates identity in a way that is both raw and profoundly beautiful. We’re excited to support him as he continues to push creative boundaries.”
