International production company Hamlet announce the signing of shots APAC New Director of the Year, Zika Liu for representation in France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and APAC.
After graduating from the University of the Arts London, Liu initially honed his aesthetic sensibility in the world of avant-garde fashion buying. However, it wasn't long before he took a courageous step into the realm of filmmaking, a field he has been obsessed with ever since. To master his craft and fully immerse himself in the filmmaking process, he started as an independent creator working on all the essential elements of filmmaking, including production, editing, and post-production.
He has created work for Burberry, Dior, Calvin Klein, BMW, Mercedes, BEATS, Lancôme and Adidas Originals.
BMW - The Icon, Liu's first piece of work with Hamlet, not only earned him a gold award for shots APAC New Director of the Year, but the spot was also awarded gold for best sound design, bronze in Music, bronze in Editing and bronze in Cinematography.
