Production company Great Guns welcomes Italian director Federico Mazzarisi to its growing roster. The award-winning director is represented exclusively by Great Guns in the UK and the US branded content and music videos.

Working between London and Milan, the rising Italian talent has already collaborated with world-class brands including Golden Goose, Vogue, Nike, Stella McCartney X Breast Cancer Awareness, and Diesel Watches. Born and raised in the rural south of Italy, Federico honed his filmmaking talents at IED (the European Institute of Design) in Milan, before moving to London to study at NFTS (National Film and Television School). Through his unique brand of visual storytelling, Federico has steadily developed a rich portfolio of commercials, branded content, and music videos.

Known for his cinematic storytelling, Federico’s style is characterised by his ability to capture intimate, dreamy, and poetic moments in a relatable, deeply human way. Most recently, he turned his talents to a new Renault Clio Meet the Moment campaign in collaboration with Publicis Italia. Brought to life in mesmerising neon hues, the film tells the captivating story of a man who embarks upon an exhilarating journey towards his destiny after meeting a mysterious fortune teller.

For the campaign, Federico was tasked with striking the perfect balance between bringing futuristic scenarios to life whilst maintaining the warmth and humanity central to the brand’s spirit. For the characterisation of the fortune teller, he was keen to tread fresh ground and drew on inspiration from his time in Asia to create a dazzling neon mystic, framed by a constantly moving camera that gives the film a sportier, dynamic feel. As casting was crucial to convincingly convey the spontaneous meeting of the couple in such a short space of time the team cast their net wide, sourcing talent from France, Belgium, and Italy for the two-day shoot in Barcelona.

Commenting on his new signing, Federico says: “It's a great pleasure for me to join a monumental production company such as Great Guns. The roster they have created is extremely recognizable and really expresses a loud voice in the industry. I met Laura and Sheridan during my very first days in London at the NFTS and we've always kept in touch over the last few years, getting feedback film after film. For me, it’s a very natural fit to be part of their team and I’m very proud to be represented by Great Guns and take the next step of my career together with them.”

Great Guns founder and CEO, Laura Gregory, adds “It’s always exciting to find a new, young talent like Federico who already has such a clear, strong voice in his work.   We can’t wait to start working together to find creative projects that add to and expand his already accomplished body of work.”
