Dillom drops a double dose
Dillom releases videos for Cirugía and Buenos Tiempos both produced by Poster.
Released simultaneously on Dillom's YouTube channel, the videos are a production by Poster directed by NODUERMO for Bohemian Groove Corp.
Cirugía and Buenos Tiempos are two tracks from Dillom's latest album, produced by Bohemian Groove Corp, the record label representing all the artists of RIPGANG. For the double release of the music videos for both tracks, the director aimed to continue exploring the universe and psyche of the character built by NODUERMO together with Dillom.
“We had already been working on this idea when we created the visualizers that accompanied the release of the songs. We were interested in using the premise of looking through a peephole into the character's life to get a closer look at his world and intimacy,” commented Noduermo.

In the video for Cirugía, they delved into his obsessions and explored his vulnerability. In contrast, the video for Buenos Tiempos aimed to show the more broken side, a twisted euphoric version of this character. Both videos work as two sides of the same coin, intimately exploring both facets, the paths that laid the foundation for the cinematography, using technical and aesthetic resources that helped deepen these characteristics of the protagonist.
In Cirugía, it was filmed in 16mm film to achieve a nostalgic tone, as if it were the dirty memories of the character.
“Those memories that burn and dissipate when we see the photographic material melting with the intention of forgetting,” explained Noduermo.
In “Buenos Tiempos,” on the other hand, a frantic and vertiginous rhythm was constructed where the protagonist is shown delirious and falling into various vices, in a vortex that leads him to plunge into his darkness and brings him closer to decay.

“The euphoric editing and the camera resources used put the viewer's gaze on the character's point of view and take them by the hand through this critical night where he hits rock bottom,” said Noduermo.
To communicate both releases, Bohemian Groove Corp chose to maintain the same dynamic proposed in the album, without big announcements or release date previews. Just two hours before the premiere, they invited fans on Instagram to visit Dillom's YouTube channel.
From there, fans discovered the trailer and at 7pm, they saw the music video for Cirugía. As a surprise, they could access the second video Buenos Tiempos. In less than 24 hours, both videos have over 100K views, reaffirming that Dillom is an artist who validates himself at a time when risking not to repeat the formula seems like commercial suicide, demonstrating that alongside his team of outsiders and inhabiting the mainstream space without ceasing to be experimental, he has become the most prominent artist in the region.
