Directed by David Findlay and shot on 70mm film by Evan Prosofsky, Lay Me by The Shore captures raw and tender moments shared between a group of teenagers as they navigate the death of a friend whilst graduating from high school.
From an opening scene that's set after a funeral, to photographs of a missing character, we slowly put together subtle pieces of the puzzle to reveal the story of Noah, a teenage boy who struggles to look to the future whilst haunted by the memories of his friend's passing.
Through quietly emotive and artistic shots, Findlay invites us into private and sensitive moments as the characters each process the situation in their own way, set amidst hazy morning skies, dusky evenings, and the consoling glow of golden hour.
