Darling Films announce the signing of fabulous London-based Director Caroline (Carrie) Hajny.

Hajny’s background in fashion photography and documentary filmmaking has strongly influenced her visual style and approach to working with talent. She is known for creating work that feels natural, stylish and authentic and has collaborated with brands and artists including Puma, Dua Lipa, Jack Grealish, Vinted, Red Bull Racing, Barbour and Garnier.

Her recent film for Arthritis UK with Digitas UK, Arthur Tut demonstrates her ability to create engaging work that connects with a wide audience. The TikTok dance challenge reached over 35 million views and was created in collaboration with Britain’s Got Talent choreographer Kieran Lai, featuring young arthritis advocate Lucy Crane. The project was delivered on a very tight turnaround and quickly became a viral success across social platforms.

“Having been fans of her fashion forward authentic work since we first laid eyes on it, we were thrilled when very swiftly a TikTok project via Digitas for Arthritis UK came in for Carrie. With an insanely quick turnaround we went on to shoot an incredibly successful social (over 35 million views!) Dance Challenge TikTok campaign with her with Kieran Lai choreographer from Britain’s Got Talent and amazing real hero talent Lucy Crane who has Juvenile Arthritis. Carrie is so personable and brilliant with people on set we are very excited to have her as part of the Darling family.” said Kelly Doyle Montejo, Owner/MD & Senior Producer

Her narrative work further highlights her range and craft. Her debut short film Last Dance premiered at the 2019 BAFTA-qualifying Underwire Film Festival, earning a nomination for Best U25 Production. Diary of a Ghost, a short drama exploring grief and mental health, was longlisted for Best Director and Best English Film at the British Short Film Awards. Her latest short, Requirements, is currently in post-production.

Hajny says: "I'm over the moon to be joining Darling's roster of incredibly talented directors after having worked with them on the Arthritis UK Campaign, it's been a pleasure to work with such a wonderful team and I'm excited to see what comes next!”
