Collaborating with Made By Google and Google Design, both esteemed for their creative and design prowess, Navetta crafts a film that seamlessly blends analog and digital elements into a captivating narrative.
What sets this collaboration apart is the deliberate use of analog formats like 35mm and 8mm film alongside 4k Alexa Footage. Navetta explains, “I wanted this film to convey the necessity for nature and science to coexist harmoniously. The combination of these mediums visually represents the multifaceted thinking required to achieve significant environmental goals.” In an era dominated by digital technology and AI, this decision not only showcases a dedication to traditional craftsmanship but also makes a profound statement about the convergence of the past and the future.

Navetta elaborates, “Creating in-camera analog effects on 35mm film is challenging and demands precision, especially when filming on location in Big Sur. However, I was committed to producing something memorable, a result I had never seen achieved on 35mm film before.”
