Daniel Kontur signs to The Royal Budapest Film Company Co

UK film director and Netflix drama-series creator, Daniel Kontur, recently relocated to Budapest Hungary, where he joins an intriguing roster of international talents at The Royal Budapest Film Co.

Prior to his move, Daniel spent 10 years in London where he attended film school, and rose to direct TV drama-doc series for the likes of Netflix and other international broadcasters.

Royal Budapest owner and film director, Justin Reardon, sees Daniel as being the perfect match. “Daniel is one of those do-it-yourself types. He’s driven, focused and wildly enthusiastic. Daniel adds to our company’s unique presence here in Budapest, and with that will come unique opportunities”.

With several long-form accolades under his belt, Daniel is now making a push into the commercial world aided by the launch of his new spec ad for VW, Drive Empowered. This micro-budget ad was shot in Hungary and features a self-doubting young man who receives a boost of confidence from the boost of horsepower in his new VW.
