Sissy Fatigue, an arthouse dance film directed by Olivia Norris (who also choreographed and performed in the lead role) Oscar Oldershaw, Jackie Pratt, Joseph Campbell and Gonnerheous Reese, is a promo with a difference.
Inspired by and featuring Bully Fae Collins’ album Defy a Thing to Be, the film begins as a seduction song that turns into something brooding and insidious, paired with visuals that follow the transformation of a fetishised blonde into a bald, rage-fuelled, lip-syncing, pearl-dripping creature.
Exploring themes of contemporary femininity, power and queerness, it’s easily the weirdest and most wonderful thing you’ll watch today.
