Oh, what a joy it is to spend money; some flowers here, a drink there and maybe an expensive car while you're at it! Rarely has tossing cash about seemed more alluring than in a new spot from creative agency Zaraguza Bratislava for Slovak bank Slovenska sporitelna.
The spot, a celebration of the grace and ease of contactless payment, follows a man dancing through the city streets in a retail therapy-induced daze, enamored by the ease of purchasing via contactless. While admittedly it's kitschy on a concept level, it's elevated to something cheeky and joyous by director Wolfberg's elegant craftsmanship. Director of photography Sander Vandenbroucke's lensing work is especially vital, as his spinning, swooshing camera effortlessly translates the unnamed protagonist's money-money-money-inspired glee into the very framework of the spot. Toss in a weirdly fitting needle-drop that ties the whole vibe together with a nice chef's kiss and you've got a weirdly entrancing shout of an advertisement.
