Community Coffee makes good neighbours
The coffee brand shows how a good cup of joe brings communities together, in a new spot created by Baker & Bonner through CharlieUniformTango.
Production company CharlieUniformTango and agency Baker & Bonner Creative Emporium teamed up to create this beautifully crafted and directed project for Community Coffee.
Titled Rancher, the new thirty-second spot captures the feeling of being on a working ranch and sharing a cup of coffee with friends around a campfire. Director/DP duo, Andy/Ashton Mahr/Rogers worked with CharlieUniformTango on all phases of production and post.

Andy Mahr said, “Ashton and I have a unified workflow that allows us to maximise each setup from multiple angles while covering various focal lengths. Working in tandem with tango on pre and postproduction made for a seamless end product from production, editing, audio, online and colouring.”
The spot’s narrator, a fourth generation Texan, provides his observation of living on a ranch and what it takes to make great neighbours in the great wide open. Mahr and Rodger’s ability to capture the beauty of the unpolished ranch life is what makes this work feel honest.
“Too many times, commercials and films tied to the western lifestyle miss the mark with overproduced assumptions. Not these guys. They know how to find the right parts and meaning of a story that keep their work authentic,” CD Rob Baker said.
