Gorgeously crafted by global creative studio LOBO and helmed by Diogo Kalil, this mesmerising animated spot marks the opening of global film and advertising award Ciclope Festival’s 2023 event.
Paired with a vibrant soundtrack that perfectly compliments the dynamic and sci-fi-esque story, the film takes viewers on a spectacular visual journey through abstract portals and otherworldly landscapes from a main character’s POV.
With the festival’s recurring theme being craft, and 2023’s emphasis on AI, LOBO used AI software to transform traditionally-crafted 3d models into a psychedelic, animated narrative using a technique known as stable diffusion, which facilitated a smooth and refined fusion of artistic ideas.
“We love the Ciclope Festival and its purpose and importance for the industry. This is the second time we‘ve been invited to create the opening of the awards show and its bumpers, etc,” says Luis Ribeiro, Managing Partner at LOBO. “This year was a great opportunity for us to play with the usage of AI for its creation and how it can be an excellent tool to aid our directors to explore their creativity.”
