Christopher Scheimann appointed Studio Head at Effekt-Etage
In this key role, Scheimann will drive the studio’s operational and strategic development while shaping its creative and production excellence.
Effekt-Etage, a Berlin and Munich based studio leading innovation in CGAI, the fusion of CGI and Artificial Intelligence, has appointed Christopher Scheimann as its new Studio Head.
In this key role, Scheimann will drive the studio’s operational and strategic development while shaping its creative and production excellence. With its proprietary CGAI technology, Effekt-Etage continues to push the boundaries of product visualisation and advance the next evolution of content creation.
Scheimann brings more than 15 years of experience across agencies, production, post-production, and corporate environments. Most recently, he served as Executive Producer and COO at Gradient Pictures in Los Angeles, where he co-built the company alongside its founder delivering projects for global brands including Porsche, Nestlé, Audi, and Heineken, working with talents such as LeBron James, Charles Barkley, and Michael Phelps, among many others.
During this time, he was responsible for building the production infrastructure, talent roster, operations, sales, and PR, while also serving as Executive Producer at Gradient Effects, a renowned VFX label. There, he led projects including Spider-Man: No Way Home and Thor: Love & Thunder for Marvel Studios.
As Studio Head at Effekt-Etage, Scheimann will oversee the creative and organisational leadership of the studio and production departments, working closely with the executive team. He reports to CEO Thomas Zuchtriegel and will collaborate with him and Founder and Head of Strategy & Creative Björn Kowalski to actively shape the company’s next chapter.
“Christopher brings both creative excellence and strategic, operational depth,” says Zuchtriegel “His international experience, deep understanding of complex production ecosystems, and ability to lead and grow teams align perfectly with our vision: a clear positioning as an innovation leader in CGAI, uncompromising quality, and ambitious collaboration.”
“I am excited to join Effekt-Etage,” says Scheimann. “What impressed me most is the studio’s exceptional level of quality, especially in its approach to AI. Here, technology is not treated as a trend, but as a creative instrument to set new visual standards. I see a highly talented team with enormous potential. My ambition is to strategically expand this quality, sharpen the Effekt-Etage brand, and elevate the studio to the next level nationally and internationally.”
For over 20 years, Effekt-Etage has stood for groundbreaking visuals and interactive brand experiences that elevate projects to new heights. Combining artistic precision with technological innovation, the company delivers international productions across industries. Its proprietary CGAI technology enables high-end content creation for imagery, film, configurators, as well as virtual, augmented, and mixed reality applications.
With Scheimann’s appointment, Effekt-Etage further strengthens its market position and underlines its ambition to expand its creative and technological leadership in VFX and CGAI production.
