Cheng-Hsu Chung joins Not To Scale
Cheng-Hsu Chung’s films have been screened internationally at film festivals including Annecy, London International Animation Festival, GLAS Animation Festival, among others.
Joining the Not To Scale family is Cheng-Hsu Cheng, a Taiwanese animation artist and director currently based in Berlin, Germany.
Cheng's playful style takes us on a unique journey through vibrant colour and human connections with a strong focus on storytelling, all through his quirky and very original lens. His short films focus on using surreal images and character performances exalting modern love and queer relationships.

Cheng-Hsu Chung’s films have been screened internationally at film festivals including Annecy, London International Animation Festival, GLAS Animation Festival, among others. His awards include Taiwan Grand Prize at Kaohsiung Film Festival, Grand Prize at Urban Nomad Film Festival, Bronze at Berlin Music Video Awards 2020, and more.
His film Adorable was also nominated for Best Animated Short Film in Golden Horse Award and Taipei Film Festival. His signature style recently caught the attention of Fourth Wall management in LA who have signed him for long form projects.
