Camp + King welcome Jen Copeland as Director of Social Strategy and Lisa Sobilo as a Group Strategy Director.
Camp + King add two new staff members in senior leadership roles within its strategy department, welcoming Jen Copeland as Director of Social Strategy and Lisa Sobilo as a Group Strategy Director.
Jen Copeland joins the strategy team as Director of Social Strategy. Copeland arrives at Camp + King as an inter-Havas talent transfer after nearly five years leading the social strategy team across multiple Coca-Cola brands with Havas Atlanta. While at Havas Atlanta, Copeland and her team created community-first social content, creating conversation and elevating the cultural resonance of brands. By uncovering and leveraging insights that are authentic to a brand's particular social audience, Copeland has helped to develop work that grows brand fandom and drives engagement, ultimately driving business growth.
Before her tenure as Senior Director of Strategy with Havas Atlanta, Copeland worked as a Copywriter, Associate Creative Director, Content Strategist, and Social Strategist at agencies including Razorfish and BBDO Atlanta. She has worked with internationally renowned brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, Delta, UPS, AT&T, Bridgestone, Norwegian Cruise Lines, The Honey Baked Ham Co., and Sanderson Farms.
"Jen is a special talent with a real knack for how brands can engage and converse with their fans on social," said Jamie King, CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at Camp + King. "She will help all of our clients elevate their game."
On joining Camp + King, Copeland says, "After a fulfilling tenure at Havas Atlanta working with amazing people, I'm thrilled to be joining the innovative, culture-creating team at Camp + King and ready to make even more Conversationworthy work. I again feel surrounded by fun, welcoming, creative colleagues and look forward to the growth and expansion this new position will surely bring."
Lisa Sobilo joins the strategy team as a Group Strategy Director. Sobilo has spent the last five months with Camp + King, helping to backfill a position that was open due to maternity leave. She now formally joins the team to oversee the Papa John's account and take the reins on other departmental responsibilities. Before joining the team, Sobilo honed her acumen by providing strategy for blue chip companies, such as Campbell Soup Company, Kraft Heinz, MillerCoors (now Molson Coors), Nestle Purina, and ABInBev.
Sobilo's strategic experience spans a myriad of disciplines, including brand, shopper, digital, social, experiential, innovation, and research. As a lifelong learner, Sobilo's credentials include an MBA from Olin Business School, a certificate in Studio Art & Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Adult Continuing Education, and, as of this Spring, a certificate in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Continuing Education.
"Lisa is a multi-disciplinary strategist who can come at, and solve, a communications problem from fresh and surprising angles," said Jamie King, CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at Camp + King. "She will not only help us with our clients but also as a mentor to our entire Strategy Department."
"Over the past few months, I feel like I've found a home with Camp + King," says Sobilo. “I’ve been continually impressed with the way the team here embraces new and different ways of thinking and comes together to solve tough problems. I’m proud to be an official part of the team now, and I look forward to digging in more deeply with all the awesome strategists we have at the agency."
