British Arrows partners with Shiny Awards to support Young Arrows 21/22
The British Arrows Board announce a partnership with the Shiny Awards to support the new Young Arrows Awards.
This year The British Arrows are introducing their first Young Arrows awards recognising and celebrating emerging British talent.
In their inaugural year they will be free to enter. As the UK and the industry recovers from the global pandemic, it is our intention to launch a full suite of awards for emerging talent in 2022/23
The three new Young Arrows categories focus on Agency, Production and Craft, new directors will be judged within the Young and Emerging talent award, production category which is sponsored by our long term supporter, BBH.
The British Arrows is keen to encourage, recognise and celebrate emerging directors and by joining forces with Shiny will ensure that there is a more obvious and open pathway for new talent and work to be shared.
Shiny, the monthly awards and networking events for newly signed and freelance directors will work with their highest scoring entrants to “…ensure a representative range of new director talent submits to Young Arrows 2022…” says Caroline Bottomley, Shiny’s MD.
“...Shiny’s jury panel includes over 100 commissioners, CDs, reps, editors and exec producers. As our judges, hosts and attendees know, the standard of entries are very high and we’re looking forward to sharing those entries with Young Arrows. This partnership is excellent news for emerging directors, we’re so pleased…”
“We are delighted to be working with Caroline and the team Shiny as we launch our first Young Arrows categories. Young Arrows is a project we are excited to get off the ground unfortunately the pandemic and uncertainty it’s caused has slowed down our progress. The British Arrows has a strong history of celebrating established and new directors which is supported by our longstanding sponsor and partner BBH, something we want to continue and to expand with the help of this collaboration” said Managing Director, Lisa Lavender.
The British Arrows 2021|22 offers entrants two years of eligibility from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2021. Held on the 31st of March 2022, the awards will take the British Arrows back to the Grosvenor House. Guests will experience a bold new take on the awards, with a renewed focus on the talent of the industry.
Entries opened on 4th October 2021 and close on 12th January 2022. Download the 2021|22 Entry Pack here.
