Expertly weaving together game lore and old school roleplaying aesthetics, Total War creates an atmosphere of danger and deep narrative stakes that is full of detail.

As a sorcerer reads a letter from her father, she sees the deamons that wish to wage war against her and wipe out humanity. With her army in tow, she begins the assault on the forces of darkness. She arms herself with icy powers, and then, she’s off to battle.

The animation is really fantastic, and it feels immediate. Often game trailers make the mistake of showing off gameplay when really ads need to be narrative, even over explanation of mechanics and strategy. There’s space given to imagine what gameplay might look like, with one-on-one battles, and ever-larger bosses, but director Jakub Jablonski keeps the pace moving, and allows Platige Poland to bring the game to life through texture and dynamic lighting.
