Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a.. cat in boxing gloves?!? For their latest spot, promoting their First Blood lager, Shanghai-based Boxing Cat Brewery have created a berserk theme-song-cum-opening-credits animated film about a superhero cat boxer intent on ridding China’s cities of mundane beer, one haymaker at a time.
Created by R/GA Shanghai, produced by Shanghai-based production company, Final Frontier, and directed and animated by Buenos Aires studio Le Cube, the hilariously frenetic spot manages to both introduce the titular feline hero with aplomb, and also tire the viewer out so sufficiently that a nice cold beer could be the only medicine. Meowesome.
