I truly believe that everyone is inherently creative, no matter who you are, where you come from or what you do."
Such are the words of Baz Luhrmann, filmmaker extraordinaire and creative director on this cracking new ad for Bombay Sapphire.
Created by AMV through MJZ, the spot is director Juan Cabral’s artistic interpretation of the campaign’s tagline: Saw This, Made This. The film, abundant with the cerulean tones of the iconic Bombay Sapphire bottle, uncovers the surprising beauty in everyday scenes.
Shot in the streets of Buenos Aires, Cabral’s home city and a place cited as a source of his creative inspiration, the film takes the audience on a walk of discovery, inviting us to step outside, look around and see the world differently.
Cabral uses a poetic extract as the voiceover narration for the film, inspired by the famous short story The Aleph by Jorge Luis Borges. It features the music Arabesque by Claude Debussy, accompanying the viewer on an exquisite visual journey.
Bacardi has also partnered with arts organisations, including the Design Museum in London, and creative communities as part of the initiative.
