Blinkink signs Liam Archibald
The 3D animation director joins Blinkink's roster for worldwide commercial representation.
Blinkink has announced that New York-based director Liam Archibald has joined their roster for worldwide commercial representation. Known for crafting cinematic 3D worlds, Archibald brings together character, atmosphere and lighting with an instinctive approach to motion that drives each project forward.
Born and raised in New York in a culturally rich Trinidadian-Puerto Rican household, Archibald is a Rhode Island School of Design graduate whose work spans 2D and 3D, blending intricate detail, playful surrealism, character and humour.
With a background in illustration, Archibald brings a meticulous eye to his animation. His 2D drawings are so detailed and dimensional they almost feel like they could step off the page, while his 3D work brings that same level of craft into colourful, expressive worlds often rooted in humour.
From his kaleidoscopic music video for JAWNY’s Running to work for Moncler, Billionaire Boys Club, Google, Snapchat, ASICS, Foot Locker and Netflix, Archibald is already making a name for himself among some of the world’s biggest brands and artists.
Blinkink welcome Archibald’s distinctive expertise and creative vision to its roster, furthering the studio’s continued commitment to championing fresh, emerging talent and bringing new creative voices into the fold.
In Archibald's words: "As a kid, I'd spend hours hidden away in my room, drawing and animating, not even knowing it could be a career. Blinkink has always felt like a place where that same childhood play is taken seriously. A place where strange ideas are given the care they deserve. That integrity took years to build, and them taking a chance on that kid to uphold and add to its legacy means a great deal to me. I'm grateful to be here, and excited to get to work."
As one of Blinkink's Executive Producer, Josef Byrne, says: “Liam is one of the most talented young animation directors in the world. We’re so excited to have him join our Blinkink roster and be part of our NYC director crew!”
