This touching film for Battersea’s home for dogs and cats demonstrates how a distressed animal can be healed by the right sort of love and encouragement.
Titled The Bond, it was directed by Hector Dockrill through Magna Studios, and is part of the charity’s new platform We’re All In, For Them.
Beautifully acted, by canines and humans alike, it tells the story of a new member of staff at Battersea and the friendship he forms with a nervous rescue dog. As the film goes on, their relationship builds as we see the lengths that he and his colleagues go to to bring the hesitant hound back to full strength, ready to be rehomed.
