Hungarian director Balázs Simon mesmerises with Wurlitzer, a music video for the latest track by Leifur James.

Taking the audience through an explosive yet intricate visual journey, the promo conjures imagery of both creation and destruction, climaxing with a fascinating, pulsating marionette.

Speaking of the project, Balázs says: “There is an obvious duality in the music. It opens widely and covers a large space, but as it progresses it becomes more and more suffocating - at one point the noise almost erases every other sound. For me, this ambiguity between creation and destruction was the most exciting part, and I wanted to reflect on that both visually and narratively.”

Check out the VFX breakdown for an insight into the painstaking process.
