If you’ve ever thought you wanted an avocado yurt, now you can get one! Thanks to the surreal Avocado Shopping Network, make your dreams of pampering your avocado a reality!
Have you ever wanted a pool floatie just for your avocado? What about a baby carrier? Music box? Helmet? Molly Ringwald brings out item after item, each one specifically designed for your avocado, although...none are designed to help you eat them. The Avocado Shopping Network also features a perky hype woman, who can’t seem to stop smiling, or eating guacamole when the camera accidentally pans to her off-cue.
The bit is funny and weird, and director Frank Todaro has balanced satire and over-the-top performances to craft a very entertaining ad. The production design from Moxie Pictures is top-notch, and I’m desperate to know who sewed the little avocado-sized velour suit.
